National Guard Deployed to DC Amid Trump’s Push to Cut Crime

Hundreds of National Guard troops have been deployed across Washington, D.C. as part of President Donald Trump’s push to cut crime in the district. It comes as Mayor Muriel Bowser, along with the district’s police chief, met on Tuesday with Attorney General Pam Bondi and says she will make the most of federal help that she says she’s powerless to refuse.
